At Wools of Cumbria Carpets Limited, we take both your data and your privacy very seriously.  If you give us consent to hold your data and communicate with you, this page explains what we will do with it.

What information is being collected?

Our download forms will collect your email address and (if you provide it) your name.  Other forms, such as our contact form, may ask for more information including your company name and a phone number if you would like us to call you back.

As well as the data you provide, we will also collect the time and date you submitted the message and also the country and IP address the message was submitted from.  This data will be stored by our website using the Contact Form plug-in, as well as emailed to one of our team.

We collect your details if you submit an enquiry so that we can respond and contact you about your message.  We collect your name and email address when you download information from our website to a) give us an overview of who is coming to our website and interacting with our material and b) so that we can, with permission, contact you about our core business-to-business service relating to the information you downloaded if appropriate

How will my data be used?

If you contact us through our website, we may create an account for you in one of our CRM (Customer Relationship Management) Systems.  Within this CRM we may also keep a record of times and dates of when we have spoken, emailed, booked a meeting, or when you have placed an order or paid an invoice.

We also occasionally collate data using Microsoft Office tools such as Excel and Word.  We also use third-party email software such as Outlook which may store your email address in its contact book if we email you directly.

If you give us permission to contact you by email, or if you sign-up to our mailing list, then we will also add your email address, name and company name to MailChimp for email marketing purposes.  Each email that you receive using MailChimp will come with a clear link to unsubscribe.  Note that unsubscribing from our MailChimp list does not unsubscribe you from all communications or remove you from our CRM system.  To do this, see ‘How can I be forgotten’ below.

If you give us permission to contact you in exchange for downloading some information from our website, we may email you directly to talk about the specific content you downloaded.

If you are a commercial contact, we may also use the email address you provided to find and connect with you on LinkedIn, if you use the platform.

We will not share or sell your data to any third parties for marketing use.

Employees of our company may see the details you give to us in their day-to-day work.
